Meet Ms. Lloyd
Welcome everyone! I am a native of Hagerstown, Maryland and have been teaching elementary general music and choir for five years. I received my Bachelors Degree in Music Education from the University of Arizona, and upon graduating, I returned to my home state of Maryland. I accepted a position teaching general music in the Archdiocese of Washington, where I taught students in preschool through eighth grade for four years. In addition to my classroom teaching, I also organized and directed several children's choirs and handbell choirs. This will be my second year teaching general music and choir at Eastern Elementary and I could not be more excited!
I am delighted to be teaching in my home town, and even attended Eastern Elementary School when I was in second grade! I am currently pursuing my Masters Degree in Music Education at Shenandoah Conservatory and will graduate at the end of this school year. When I am not teaching, I enjoy playing my trumpet, reading, spending time with family and friends, and relaxing at the beach.
